Mold testing is not always the first step
A good mold investigation starts with the building and moisture history, not simply with collecting samples. Visible conditions, water intrusion, material damage, humidity and the project objective help determine whether sampling will add useful information.
Independent testing — no remediation sales
VEC does not sell mold remediation. The inspection and sampling are performed independently from the cost of cleanup work.
Who performs the assessment?

Frequently asked questions
Do I need mold testing after a water leak?
Not every water event requires mold sampling. The age of the loss, drying history, visible conditions, odors, material damage and project needs determine whether testing is useful.
What is the difference between an air sample and a surface sample?
Air samples characterize airborne particles collected during a defined sampling period. Surface samples target a specific material or visible condition. The appropriate method depends on the question the inspection is trying to answer.
What is post-remediation verification?
Post-remediation verification evaluates the cleaned work area after remediation and before normal use or reconstruction. The scope may include visual assessment and air sampling depending on the project.
Do you remove mold?
No. VEC provides independent assessment, testing and verification services and does not sell remediation.
